英文rather than用法(Usage of rather than in English)

英文rather than的意思為｢而不是｣，而rather than為對等連接詞，所以rather than前後的文法結構與詞性必須一致。
但主要子句為不定詞(to V)時，rather than後要省略to而接原形動詞。
Tom likes tea rather than coffee.(Tom喜歡茶而不是咖啡，tea和coffee都是名詞，詞性一致)
The manufacturer keep selling the oil rather than recall it back after being reported to use expired material.(在被報導使用過期原料後，製造商並沒有回收油品，而是繼續販售，keep和recall都是動詞，詞性一致)
但是rather than當介係詞使用時，只能接名詞或動名詞(Ving)，這時候用法與instead of相同(instead的意思同樣是｢而不是｣)
Rather than going on a picnic in a park , Amy went shopping in department store.(Amy去百貨公司購物，而沒去公園野餐)
備註：野餐=go on a picnic

instead of的意思與rather than相同，但用法稍有不同
