英文instead of用法(Usage of instead of in English)

英文中instead of的意思為｢而不是...」，instead of僅能接名詞或Ving。
instead of N/Ving
Tom likes tea instead of coffee.(Tom喜歡茶而不是咖啡)
Instead of going on a picnic in a park , Amy went shopping in department store.(Amy去百貨公司購物，而沒去公園野餐)
備註：野餐=go on a picnic

instead of的意思與rather than相同，但用法稍有不同
