英文對等連接詞(Coordinate conjunction in English)

英文中，對等連接詞可以用來連接同等的名詞、動詞、形容詞或片語、子句、句子，前後的文法結構及詞性必須一致，遵循平行結構(parallel structure)。

I like watermelon and apple.(我喜歡西瓜和蘋果)→連接兩個名詞

It can walk and run.(它會走也會跑) →連接兩個動詞

The dress is beautiful but expensive.(洋裝很漂亮但很貴) →連接兩個形容詞

Hurry up, or you will be late.(趕快，不然你要遲到了) →連接兩個句子

Kate makes the project well and efficiently.(Kate將計畫做得很好且有效率) →連接兩個副詞

英文中的對等連接詞包括and、but、or、nor、for、so及yet。

and	和	Cakes and cookies are delicious.(蛋糕和餅乾都很好吃)
but	但是	The bed is comfortable but expensive.(床很舒服但很貴)
or	或	Which one do you like, coffee or tea?(咖啡和茶你喜歡哪個?)
nor	也沒有	Neither he nor I have the house.(他和我都沒有房子)
for	因為	He studies hard, for he has to pass the exam.(他念書很用功，因為他必須通過考試)
so	所以	She was sick, so she stayed at home.(因為他生病，所以待在家裡)
yet	但是	He worked hard, yet he didn’t pass the exam.(他很認真，但是沒通過考試)
