英文從屬連接詞(Subordinate conjunctions in English)

從屬連接詞所形成的句子中，副詞子句部分是用來修飾主要子句的動詞(句型請見下方介紹)

表示時間	when(當)	I will do my homework when I come back home.(當我回家時，我將做功課)
	while(當)	I was reading a book while Tom was sleeping.(當Tom正在睡覺時，我正在讀書)
	before(在…之前)	I drink a cup of milk before I sleep.(我在睡覺前喝杯牛奶)
	after(在…之後)	I will study in United States after I graduate from the university.(大學畢業後，我將前往美國就讀)
	until(直到)	Mary didn’t call her mother until she arrived Germany.(Mary直到抵達德國時才打電話給媽媽)
表示因果	because(因為)	I didn’t pass the exam because I didn’t work hard.(我因為沒用功念書而沒通過考試)
語氣轉折	although/though(雖然)	Though the weather is cold, he still goes on a picnic.(雖然天氣很冷，他仍然去野餐)
表示條件	if(假如、如果)	Jim will not graduate if he doesn’t pass the exam.(如果Jim沒通過考試，他將不能畢業)

從屬連接詞句型

1.主要子句+連接詞+副詞子句.→I was reading a book while Tom was sleeping.

2.連接詞+副詞子句,主要子句.→While Tom was sleeping, I was reading a book.

3.主要子句為未來式，表示時間或條件的副詞子句必須用現在式代替未來式。→I will study in United States after I graduate from the university. (大學畢業後，我將前往美國就讀)
